Come join us for a Day of Mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh which will enable us to gain nourishment from his simple, unique but effective approach that reverberates through our life and the life of our families and community with grace and ease.

Our facilitator will be Jack Lawlor, who was ordained as a Dharma Teacher by Thich Nhat Hanh in 1992, and has served as the President of the Buddhist Council of the Midwest, on the national board of directors of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, and on the Care-Taking Council of the North American Dharma Teachers Council. Jack has practiced consistently with local sanghas since 1975 and was a co-founder in 1991 of Lakeside Buddha Sangha in Evanston, Illinois.

The day will include sitting and walking meditation, a dharma talk, outdoor walking meditation, mindful listening and speaking, and the wonderful opportunity to stop, breathe, and generate the healing energy of mindful awareness.

There will also be an opportunity to receive or renew the Five Mindfulness Trainings. If you are interested, Jack has asked that you contact Marion Lang,, in advance of the Day of Mindfulness about writing a letter of intention.

The cost is $25 to be paid the day of the event either by a check written to Simply Dunn or with cash (exact change, if possible). Scholarships can be requested on registration form.

Location: The Schoolhouse at Simply Dunn is located in a beautiful setting near the Red Cedar River. You are welcome to walk on the land before or after the DOM. Simply Dunn is located 6 miles south of Menomonie on HWY 25. There are directions on the Simply Dunn website:
